Delaine and Nutinhoney… Loving Life in Florida!
On the evening of St. Patrick’s Day, I picked up two sisters who had just finished working at a busy sports bar in Fort Myers. They were dressed head to toe in festive green, clearly ready to celebrate, but now just as ready to head home and relax. As we drove, we began talking, and I quickly realized their story—and their names—were worth remembering. One of the sisters was named Delaine. Ciaran… A Ray of Sunshine!
Recently, I had a passenger with a name that I hadn’t seen before…Cairan, pronounced “Keer-en”. His family is extremely Irish and his name, Ciaran, is a Celtic name which means “little dark one”. With his dark hair, the name seems to fit perfectly. But he likes to think that he is more of a “ray of sunshine”. And, after chatting with him for several minutes, I’d have to agree! “The Struggle” and a Surprise!
In February of 2026 while driving for Uber , I received a ride request that made me smile before I even arrived. The name on my screen wasn’t John, Mike, or David. It simply said “The Struggle.” Now after driving thousands of passengers, I’ve learned that unusual names usually come with interesting stories. So I was already curious. When I pulled up, a friendly man climbed into the car. He told me he was from Cleveland , Ohio , and we quickly started talking about baseball. L
