Bishwajit… Earth Champion!

When I saw the name “Bishwajit” appear on my Uber screen, I knew it was a name I wanted to add to my Ubernamez website. Thankfully, he was happy to share his story.

Bishwajit was born and raised in India, where his name means “earth champion.” It is pronounced “Bish-oh-jit” From a young age, he dreamed of becoming a famous cricket player and champion. He loved the game and became a skilled player, but with so much competition, he eventually realized his time and efforts were more wisely focused toward finance and banking.

After working in the banking industry in India for several years Bishwajit was determined to continue his education by developing greater English language skills in the United States.

He currently attends Antares English Language Center in Fort Myers. This institution is specifically designed to help students improve their English skills and also learn about American culture. The school not only teaches language, but also helps students practice building real relationships while using English. Bishwajit works hard as a full time student. He knows these skills will help him in his career.

Even though he enjoys living in the United States, Bishwajit plans to return to India. His goal is to help others develop their English skills and use those skills in careers like finance, banking and business. He has especially loved visiting big cities like New York, where he was amazed by the energy and diversity.

He and I agreed that sometimes Americans forget how special this country is and how many people around the world would love to experience the freedom and opportunities found here.

Outside of his studies and career goals, Bishwajit enjoys a few other passions. He still loves the game of cricket, and he values time spent with his young daughter, who is four years old. Whether he’s working hard on his future, learning English, or spending time with his family, Bishwajit is living up to the meaning of his name—an “earth champion” who is determined to succeed.
