Dedgar... "Strike 3, you're out!"
This weekend I met an interesting young man with a unique name, and a cool story!
Dedgar is from Venezuela.
He started playing baseball at the age of six and by the time he was ten, realized that he had a strong arm and the potential to become a good left- handed pitcher.
After years of hard work and dedication, Dedgar is now a member of the Boston Red Sox organization! He is in Fort Myers honing his pitching skills with dreams of making it to the major leagues.
Dedgar was named after a famous Venezuelan athlete, Edgar Alfonzo. His mother gave his name a bit of a tweak by adding the "D".
Keep your eye on the Red Sox and one day you may see Dedgar on the mound and the umpire shouting, "Strike 3, you're out!"
