Wray... Often spelled Ray!

Today I met a gentleman with an unusual spelling to his name...Wray! Although we only had a couple minutes to chat, he told me a little about his background and career.

Wray is of Greek decent but he was born and raised in South Africa. His name, Wray, is an Old English surname that means "corner", "nook", or "recess".

This name seems extremely appropriate as Wray works in the mining industry. He is an executive and consultant in one if the largest mining companies in the world, helping to discover the natural resources buried in every corner, nook and recess.

Some years ago Wray moved to Toronto, Canada where he became a citizen, and is now our northern neighbor!
