Gavaska... Welcome to America!

Recently, I met a young passenger who had just moved to Fort Myers from Jamaica.

Gavaska and his wife, Michelle, are new to Southwest Florida, and they are just getting settled in. He is actively looking for a job and is even considering driving with Uber!

He and his wife are excited to be in America! They plan to work diligently and take advantage of their opportunities.

Gavaska's unique name was given to him by his grandmother. She was a fan of the famous Indian cricket player, Sunil Gavaskar, who played during the 70's and 80's.

Gavaskar is widely considered as one of the greatest batsmen in cricket history, and he held several world records during his career.

Unlike his namesake, Gavaska is NOT a cricket player. Instead, he excelled in the sport of soccer. He started as a young boy, played throughout high school, and still enjoys a hearty game of soccer, today!

Gavaska describes himself as a humble, easy-going and fun-loving person.
