Apoliono...a name for the ages!
Several months ago I had the pleasure of having Apoliono as an Uber passenger.
Born in Texas, but raised in Florida, Apoliono has a bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts and is the Grill Master at Red Lobster in Fort Myers.
Because his co-workers often have difficulty pronouncing his name (A-polly-on-oh) he utilizes several AKA's... these include "Paul", "Pauly", and "Polo".
His unique name has been passed down many generations from his great-great-great-great grandfather. The name has ancient Greek origins, but is derived from the name of a mathematician, Apollonius of Perga, who advanced the study of geometry before the birth of Christ.
Apoliono comes from a large family and has five brothers and four sisters.
Thanks to his mother, who attended a nursing college in Boston, Apoliono has been a Red Sox fan his entire life. He even bears a Red Sox tattoo on his forearm!
It was my pleasure to meet such an enthusiastic and friendly young man with a name for the ages!
Please welcome Apoliono to the Ubernamez blog!
