Triny... She's got her act together!

Triny was a soft spoken and gracious passenger that I picked up for a short trip in Fort Myers.

Born in the Dominican Republic, she came to the United States as a youth and grew up in New York City.

Triny is blessed to be the mother of four wonderful daughters between the ages of 14 and 22.

About four years ago, when her daughters were younger, Triny decided that she was ready for a change. She did not want to raise her daughters in New York City or in the Northeast.

Uncertain about the direction she should take, she laid out a map of the United States and randomly placed her finger on the map. When she looked down her finger had landed on Fort Myers, Florida!

It was decided. That was her answer!

She packed up her family and headed south.

Wow! I was shocked! I could not imagine making such a bold decision, and actually following through with it!

Triny declared, "Sometimes you've got to take a chance in life! And I actually enjoy it!"

Triny has an interesting name and I was curious to know more about it. She told be that on the day of her birth there was apparently a dispute over who she would be named after. As the discussion between relatives became more heated a little girl walked through the room carrying a baby-doll in a box. The doll's name was clearly written on the container and could easily be seen.

That immediately settled the altercation, as her mother announced that her newborn daughter would be named Triny...the name of the baby-doll!

Triny is derived from the name Trinity, which has Biblical roots meaning three in one; Father, Son and Spirit; complete and whole.

When I asked Triny if she knew the meaning of her name, she put it this way... my name means "a person that has her act together"!
